According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio RomanoForest’s duty to purchase provision has already been activated.
Eddie Howe, the leader of the Toons, acknowledged that he was hesitant to allow Wood to leave.
The striker has been a key player for us, according to Howe. He has excelled in every way. We were in a very difficult position when we signed him.
He has been excellent on and off the field with his leadership and positivity, and he has significantly contributed to the team’s transformation on the field.
“It was a tough choice; you have to consider the player’s wishes, but I think it’s a good deal financially for the club,” the commenter said.
Following his £20 million transfer from Burnley to Newcastle in January 2022, Wood scored five goals in 39 appearances for the Magpies.
For them this term, he was only able to make four Prem starts.
