A 60-year-old British woman and her two dogs have been missing from Tenerife for the past six days, prompting a frantic search and an urgent appeal.

A British woman who disappeared nearly a week ago on the resort island of Tenerife is the focus of a police search.

Kate Barley, 60, and her two dogs went missing from the southern Spanish island’s Adeje municipality.

A notice about her disappearance was posted on the Spanish website for missing people, SOS Desaparecidos, with the word “urgent” used to describe her situation.

Locals say she’s British, but the police couldn’t be reached for comment first thing this morning.

Known to drive a white Smart car, Kate’s full name is Kate Barley Bizzarro.

On Wednesday, March 8th, she was last seen.

59-year-old Kate Barley Bizarro vanished from Adeje on March 8th, according to an initial SOS Desaparecidos appeal.

She is described as being just over 5 feet 7 inches tall, with long straight blonde hair and blue eyes; she wears graduated glasses; she speaks with a foreign accent; and she operates a white Smart Bianca bearing the license plate number 6274 KDL.

A second “urgent” appeal from the Canary Islands’ chapter of SOS Canarias seemed to imply she went missing on or around her birthday.

There was an additional line that read, “Kate, 60, brought along her two dogs, a white Yorkshire and a beige Chicuahua.

It’s not just Jimmy and Luky, the two dogs. We’re asking for assistance from the general public.
