A disturbing development in the Susana Morales death involves the arrest of Doraville cop Miles Bryant for “covering up teen’s murder.”

A police officer was detained for allegedly covering up the death of a teenage girl who went missing months prior to her being murdered and dumped in the woods.
16-year-old Susana Morales was last seen by her family on July 26, 2022, and the search for the Georgia teen ended tragically last week when her remains were discovered.

Miles Bryant, a 22-year-old officer with the Doraville Police Department from Norcross, was charged on Monday with covering up Morales’ murder.
Officer Hideshi Valle, a spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police, said that investigators had “developed sufficient probable cause” to make an arrest today.
Not just for our community, but also for the law enforcement community, this is a very tragic incident.
No matter who the person is, Gwinnett Police is committed to gathering all the information necessary to enact justice, said Valle.
Bryant was accused of covering up another person’s death and filing a false report of a crime.
On February 6, police discovered Morales’ remains in a forest between Drowning Creek and Barrow County.
The now-former officer was arrested “in connection with the disappearance and murder of Susana Morales,” according to the City of Doraville.
The Gwinnett Police Department’s investigation into Mr. is being conducted in full cooperation with the City of Doraville and its Police Department. Bryant,” declared the city.
“Our thoughts and prayеrs arе with Susana Moralеs’ family, friеnds, and all thosе who havе bееn impactеd by this tragеdy.”
