After a terrifying celebration, Bafetimbi Gomis was given a match shirt for a terrified ballboy.

A ballboy was once moved to tears by former Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis’ famous “panther walk” celebration.

On Saturday, Gomis will turn 37, and following a stint in Saudi Arabia, he will play his first full season with Galatasaray. The Frenchman unknowingly terrified the ballboy when they were in the Middle East with Al-Hilal.

A video of the ballboy fleeing in fear from the former Swansea player as he celebrated a goal in his customary style surfaced online. After the full-time horn sounded, Gomis was quick to apologize and even gave the ball boy his shirt.

Trolled for missing a penalty kick after taking the “slowest stroll ever”

To be fair, I’d probably flee too; that crawling celebration is downright terrifying, a fan tweeted.

After watching the video, another jokingly said, “Imagine being the child and seeing that coming at you.” Even so, the club still felt the need to apologize to the youngster again after Gomis gave him his shirt.

Following the incident, Al-Hilal invited the youngster to their training session so that he could meet and greet the players.

At the beginning of the year, Gomis left Saudi Arabia and returned to Turkey and Galatasaray, where he had previously spent a season prior to moving to the Middle East.
