The former star of Teen Mom 2 has taken some heat for her stance on parenting.

The 31-year-old Chelsea posted a slew of photos to her Instagram Stories that were tinted pink.

Even though it’s one thing for Layne to play with her makeup, she and her daughter looked like they were on their way to a dance recital.

One of the photos features both of them striking different poses, including one in which Chelsea clearly sticks her tongue out.

The mother of four made her then-three-year-old daughter wear makeup for a dance recital a few months ago.

The photos were deemed “cute” by Teen Mom fans on Reddit, but Chelsea was criticized for applying so much makeup to the child so young.

One fan wrote: “It’s not the norm!”

One more supporter wrote, “It’s definitely not normal in America to see toddlers/young kids in full faces of makeup.

That said, I would never let my kids participate in a “sport” that required elaborate face paint.

FORCED BRAND AMBASSATOR?

Chelsea DeBoer and Cole DeBoer are the proud parents of three children: Layne (five), Watson (five), and Walker (one).

She had Aubree, 13, with her ex, Adam Lind.

In October of 2020, the former MTV star debuted Aubree Says, a home decor line named after her eldest child.

A recent Instagram video appeared to show that Aubree did not want to be the brand’s figurehead, adding fuel to the fire that Chelsea was accused of exploiting her daughter’s name and likeness to make money off of their home goods brand.

The HGTV star made white chocolate-covered strawberries with mini M&Ms and chocolate chips in her kitchen during the live broadcast.

Cole DeBoer, 34, Chelsea’s husband, and their four children also came along.

While making the delicious Valentine’s Day treat, fans watched the TV personality introduce new products from her home goods line.

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but the relaunch is almost here. However, we have been working tirelessly on improvements, redesigns, a brand-new website, and a slew of new products for the past year.

“I’m so excited for everything and so proud of everything that the newest release is going to be,” Chelsea declared.

Six brand-new offerings to begin with; “the new vibe” is something she can’t wait for people to experience.

Aubree, who was decorating strawberries at the time, stole the show during her mother’s speech but seemed uninterested in and unable to respond to the news of her new product line.

‘POOR KID’

As soon as fans found out that the famous alum was using her daughter’s name and likeness for a brand that had little to do with her, they began to express their disapproval.

A number of people expressed their disapproval of South Dakota star’s parenting skills and the apparent unhappiness of her eldest daughter, Aubree, on an online message board.

For example: “Aubree Suggests… Someone commented, “She’s thrilled,” next to a screenshot of Aubree’s bored face during the Instagram Live.

One listener questioned whether Aubree was compensated for the use of her likeness and name in this nonsense.

Poor kid,” said a third, agreeing with the first two.
