Following the death of his daughter, Tytyana, over Memorial Day weekend 2022, former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Master P (real name Percy Miller Sr.) has vowed to help others suffering from substance abuse. She was only 29 years old at the time of the accident.

In a recent concert, Master P paid tribute to Tytyana.

The rapper shared a video from his June 7 concert on Instagram, in which he sang Michael Jackson’s hit “You Are Not Alone” as a tribute to his late daughter.

“I love my daughter, man,” Master P said in the video. “I miss her.” “I’ve always been her parachute, and now she’s my parachute up in the sky looking down on me, and we’re not going to cry no more.” We’ll rejoice because my child can now care for millions of children and potentially save millions of lives. I’m going to show up and do my job. I am confident that God has placed me in this world for a reason. It’s a serious issue to have mental illness and substance abuse.”

He then requested that everyone sing “You Are Not Alone,” his daughter’s “theme song.”

‘Turn This Tragedy into a Testimony,’ said Master P.

Tytyana’s cause of death has yet to be determined, but her battle with substance abuse was documented on WE TV’s “Growing Up Hip Hop.”

Master P thanked his fans for their support and said he hoped to “turn this tragedy into a testimony” in an Instagram post following Tytyana’s death.

He wrote:

The truth is the only way we will be able to recover and grow from this. My daughter has been fighting this since 2015, and it’s been a long and painful journey for our family. We hope to turn this tragedy into a lesson about mental illness and substance abuse.

I’ve always set limits for my children as a father. Regrettably, once they reach adulthood, they have the legal right to choose who they want to have healthy or unhealthy relationships with. I put my trust in God, knowing that no one is immune to suffering or death. Families are losing loved ones every day as a result of mental illness and substance abuse.

I’ve pledged to devote my time, resources, and energy to assisting other families who are dealing with similar problems. We will not mourn, but rather celebrate her life as part of our healing process. Tytyana was a person who was inspiring, uplifting, artistic, and a loving person who cared deeply about others.

“I’d like to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support,” the rapper wrote.

After his son, Romeo Miller, had to withdraw due to injury, Master P competed on season two of “Dancing With the Stars,” placing seventh with partner Ashly DelGrosso. Later, Romeo and his partner Chelsie Hightower competed in Season 12 and placed fifth.

On Disney Plus in the fall of 2022, “Dancing With the Stars” will return for its 31st season.
