Ludik, Netflix’s first Afrikaans-language series, will premiere on the streaming service in August.
The show revolves around Daan Ludik (Arnold Vosloo), a diamond smuggler who poses as a successful furniture salesman. Following the kidnapping of a family member, our anti-hero and I descend deeper into Ludik’s criminal underworld.
As Ludik is set to be released on Netflix on August 26, we take a look at the soundtrack, as well as the theme song. Let’s start listening.
Who sings the theme song for Ludik?
Bittereinder, a Pretoria-based South African rap/electro band, composed the theme song for Netflix’s Ludik. “Die Berge Brand” is the song used as the theme song. It was released in 2015 and was included on Bittereinder’s album Dans Tot Die Dood.

Jaco van der Merwe, Peach van Pletzen, and Louis Minnaar are the members of the band. Peach van Pletzen is also in charge of the series’ electronic soundtrack.
