There is “officially in the works” to be a tag-team boxing match between FLOYD MAYWEATHER and KSI against Manny Pacquiao and Salt Papi.

The tag-team concept was introduced in early March under KSI’s Misfits Boxing banner, and it quickly became popular with the company’s crossover audience.

Now according to Happy Punch PromotionAttempts to include boxing royalty have increased the pressure.

They say that negotiations have begun between Mayweather and KSI for a tag-team fight against Pacquiao and Salt Papi of the Philippines.

Happy Punch promotes and manages Salt Papi, a 3-0 influencer boxing star who became famous on TikTok.

Over £500m was made from the fight between Mayweather (then 46) and Pacquiao (then 43), and 4.4m pay-per-views were sold in the US alone, making it the most profitable fight in history.

However, despite the fact that both legends are still competing in exhibition matches, a rematch has been avoided at all costs.

Since coming out of retirement in 2017 to fight and defeat UFC superstar Conor McGregor, 34, Mayweather has boxed in six exhibitions.

He has also competed against two YouTube sensations, Logan Paul (age 27) and KSI’s younger brother Deji (age 26).

Mayweather has confirmed FIVE upcoming exhibitions, the most recent of which was in February against Aaron Chalmers, 35, from Geordie Shore.

The 29-year-old KSI will be facing off against 40-year-old millionaire businessman and undefeated boxer Joe Fournier on May 13 in London.

And 29-year-old Salt Papi is eager to square off against the British rap and celebrity boxing sensation in their own right.
