An over-the-top balloon “bomb” is used at a couple’s gender reveal party, and guests are left wondering why nobody there has any sense.

A COUPLE has taken a lot of heat for their ‘bombastic’ gender reveal party, which included a huge balloon ‘bomb’ inside the house.

The Spanish-speaking couple went viral for all the wrong reasons after they announced their upcoming nuptials on TikTok.

A social media storm has ensued since the video was posted online, with over 25 million views on Instagram alone.

TikTok user @laurasalcedo66, one of the attendees, is suspected of uploading the clip to the platform.

Laura started out the video filming the soon-to-be parents, who appeared to be very content.

The huge balloon “bomb” hanging in the room’s center, however, had the young mother worried.

In the midst of the excited countdown, the flame on the string reached the black balloon that was loaded with confetti.

Then the balloon exploded with a bang and a flash of flames, and the video was over, with no indication of whether the baby would be a boy or a girl.

No one was hurt, as far as Laura can tell (she was sitting directly in front of the decorations).

Despite this, social media users were quick to criticize the couple, saying that nobody in the room had any common sense.

The person said, “I don’t think we should do this in the house. My common sense would have at least said “I don’t think we should do this in the house.”

”Now we don’t know the gender AND we ain’t got no eyebrows,” another member of the group joked.

One man, presumably from Australia, decided to prank the expecting mother as a way to spice up his gender reveal party.

One of the guests, who uses the TikTok handle @Papa Was Here, was prepared with a camera, and things quickly got out of hand.

The man in the now-viral video was seen holding a black balloon that contained numerous pieces of confetti.

When the man and woman were finally ready to make their big reveal, the father suddenly dropped the black balloon.

Everybody is, without a doubt, completely taken aback and is screaming out of sheer horror.

Aside from the man himself, the man’s partner was also quite distressed.

Disbelievingly, she hurried away, exclaiming, “Oh my God!” I’ll show you what I mean: he’s incredibly stupid right here.

She shook her head in disbelief, but she didn’t smile as she continued, “This is what I mean – he’s so dumb…”

After the man pointed out the real balloon they were supposed to pop, the woman broke into a broad grin.

They counted down, laughed, and kissed before she popped the balloon, revealing that they were expecting a daughter.

Despite the sweetness of the scene, social media users were concerned by the woman’s initial reaction.

”Good luck with her,” one embarrassed viewer wished the man.
