Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have filed for divorce after two years of marriage, according to TMZ.

The Filing Process

Ariana Grande’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, was the first to file for divorce on Monday, September 18, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Dalton filed shortly afterward. Prior to approaching the courthouse, the former couple had already worked out all the necessary arrangements and agreements, as reported by the outlet.

Separation Date and Amicable Split

The date of Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez’s separation was reportedly listed as February 20. Despite the end of their marriage, both Ariana, 30, and Dalton, 28, have maintained a caring and respectful approach throughout the divorce process, according to a source cited by the outlet.

Romance with Ethan Slater

The news of the divorce filing coincides with Ariana Grande’s ongoing romance with her Wicked costar, Ethan Slater. The pair met in late 2022 while working on the highly anticipated film adaptation of the hit Broadway play. Their marriage reportedly began to deteriorate a few months later, possibly due to the long-distance relationship strain caused by Ariana’s work on Wicked in England, while Dalton remained in California.

The Breakup and New Relationship

After attempting to reconcile earlier this year, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez decided to formally end their marriage. It was during this time that news broke of Ariana’s romance with Ethan Slater, 31, just days after her separation from Dalton. The timing of their respective divorces aligns, as Ethan filed for divorce from his now-estranged wife, Lilly Jay, whom he married in November 2018. The couple also welcomed their son in August 2022.

As of now, there is more to come regarding the ongoing developments in Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez’s divorce.
