Some clubs have backed off over his wage demands.

But Villa are interested in sealing the deal.

The club will look to offload some of its players to free up space in the locker room and on the payroll.

Kamara progressed through Marseille’s youth system before making his senior debut in December 2016.

He went on to make a total of 114 appearances for the club in Ligue 1.

He helped Marseille reach the 2018 Europa League Final during that time.
