As thunderstorms are expected to sweep the country, BRITS have been warned that there is a “danger to life.”
Forecasts indicate that thunder and lightning will lash much of the UK today, prompting the Met Office to issue a weather warning.
According to reports, because trains and buses are halted during these storms, there may be even more travel chaos. Even Glastonbury festival goers might be impacted.
The Met Office stated on its website that there is a remote possibility that homes and businesses could experience rapid flooding, with some buildings possibly suffering damage from floodwater, lightning, hail, or strong winds.
“There is a slight possibility that swiftly moving or deep floodwater could endanger life.”
They continued, “These intense downpours may be accompanied by frequent lightning, while some areas may also experience gusty winds and hail.
The warning area will be continuously monitored and updated as needed because it will be difficult to pinpoint the exact location of the thunderstorms.
Despite these cautions, tomorrow is expected to be a beautiful day for Brits as the temperature reaches 28C in some areas.
