Conor McGregor skipped UFC 286’s third Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman fight despite wanting to face the winner of the welterweight championship bout.

The UFC 286 event in London was supposed to be CONOR MCGREGOR watching Leon Edwards defend his title against Kamaru Usman, but he didn’t show up.
In the third and final installment of their trilogy, Edward and the former welterweight champion of the UFC squared off at London’s O2 Arena.

There were many famous people at the North Greenwich dome for the promotion’s first English pay-per-view in over seven years.
Despite the Irishman’s tease, McGregor remained hidden from view.
The Notorious, 34, has dropped hints this week that he may show up to watch Gunnar Nelson’s fight against Bryan Barbarena with his team.

McGregor, the UFC’s biggest star, said this week that he wants to fight whoever wins the rubber match between Edwards and Usman.
It was stated by him, “Yeah, I’d like [a welterweight title shot]. In that case, please grant my wish.
Edwards, at age 31, successfully defended his welterweight title with a majority decision victory over Usman, a former pound-for-pound king.
After breaking his leg in the third bout of his trilogy with Dustin Poirier in July 2021, McGregor hasn’t returned to the octagon.


He’ll fight Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout when the year winds down.
McGregor has not been in the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s testing pool for the required six months, so a date for the fight has not been set.
