The thrifty mother posted photos of the children’s footwear to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, where they were widely admired by members.
Countless pairs of footwear, from Peppa Pig wellies to sparkly boots and Ugg alternatives, were displayed in the images.
There was a wide selection of pumps and Velcro trainers, as well as Disney Encanto wellies.
Although the mother claimed that all of the shoes were $2, other shoppers reported seeing price discrepancies at their neighborhood Asda.
Parents eager to score a deal on their children’s feet flooded the post’s comments section.
“That’s a lot for just £2,” one raved
“Those pink boots with the butterfly on the back are too cute,” said another. Just got a pair for my daughter and they’re super soft on the inside.
The brown boots are great; I bought some for my daughter to wear to nursery school last year.
Similarly, others began tagging their parent friends to alert them to the sale before the shoes sold out.
Tagging her friend, one wrote: “How good for £2!!!
Someone else remarked, “OMG why does our local Asda never have good sales like this?”
Despite the shoes being marked down to £5 at their local Asda, some parents were still able to snag a few pairs.
One mom said she had contributed most of the money ($5) and had still managed to buy her daughter a pair of wellies and boots.
