Dominic Orlando, the writer for Netflix and Amazon’s Mindhunter, died at the age of 57, after a battle with cancer, leaving fans waiting for season 3 of the true-crime series. Orlando died on November 17 in Washington, DC, according to the Creative Artists Agency, which released a statement on Wednesday.

The Brooklyn-born writer co-founded the No Pants Theater Company in New York in 1992. The mission of the

Orlando and No Pants Theater was to “return theater to its original role as a place where society confronts its spiritual self.” ”

In the early 1990s, he moved to Minneapolis, where he continued to write plays and co-founded the Workhaus Collective theater company. Orlando wrote and directed plays such as A Short Play About Globalization, The Sense of What Should Be, and A Short Play About 9/11 while in Minneapolis.
