Don’t call us brats, says Eric Dier, because footballers work hard.

Eric Dier of England has reacted angrily to those who dismiss footballers as chubby brats.

“Being judged on how I play football, I don’t have a problem with that,” the Spurs star, who turns 28 today, said on a podcast.

“However, I have a larger issue with how footballers are viewed.”

“It only takes one stupid act by a 22-year-old boy to start a chain reaction.”

“This does not imply that it is correct. I’d say, ‘You idiot,’ if he did it a second time.

“However, making mistakes at that age is natural.”

Many players were intelligent and interesting, said Dier, who speaks Portuguese and has raised capital for a dining app.

“You look at their cars,” he continued, “but they were the most disciplined, hardworking, and committed from the age of eight.”

Tottenham’s Eric Dier can become “one of the best in the world” at center-back, according to Antonio Conte.
