According to Kevin Mathurin of Emmerdale, the Dales will be rocked by death later this year.
It coincides with the soap’s 50th anniversary, and it was hinted a few months ago that the show would go big with stunts, births, and big scenes for the cast.
Kevin, who portrays Charles Anderson on the show, revealed to the Daily Mirror at the British Soap Awards 2022 that the show may have a death.
He hinted that more than one person might die, implying that Charles would be involved in the aftermath.
Charles Anderson, Kevin’s character, will have his work cut out for him, according to Kevin.
Kevin remained tight-lipped about the plot, but did hint that more than one funeral could be on the way.
“All I can say is Charles is going to have a lot of work on his hands, and he’ll be going around checking on his parishioners, seeing if they’re all right, and there may be the odd funeral,” he said. I’m going to stop there because I think I’ve said enough.”
He also hinted that there would be more drama after Meena Jutla’s incarceration for murder, teasing that big scenes were on the way.
More scenes focusing on Charles’ past should be expected, as well.

“All I’m going to say is that you should watch the 50th anniversary special,” he said. “I’m going to stop now.”
Kevin also revealed details about Charles’ upcoming storylines, including new scenes that will focus on his past and allow fans to learn more about his past.
“I think it’s good that people will get to know Charles and that he has flaws,” he continued, “because it brings the character off the page and shows that he has a past.” I’m not implying that he had a bad past, but he is, after all, human.”
