Emi Martinez’s blunder, according to Manchester United fans, is ‘karma’ for the clubs’ previous meeting.

To the delight of Manchester United supporters, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was left with his head in his hands after one of the worst blunders of the season on Saturday evening.

Despite a lack of accuracy and power, the Argentina international was unable to stop a speculative Bruno Fernandes effort in the first half of their Premier League match.

Martinez spilled the ball through his own legs, much to the delight of United players and fans, with some at home recalling the two clubs’ meeting in September.

In that match, Fernandes missed a penalty in the final seconds to give the visitors a 1-0 victory after Kortney Hause had scored the game’s first goal.
