In a video posted on social media, Eric Cantona announced himself as Manchester United’s new manager, and the club’s fans are hoping it’s true.

The Red Devils are on the lookout for a new manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was fired last weekend following a 4-1 loss at Watford. United have announced that they will appoint an interim manager until the end of the season before appointing a permanent manager next summer.

It is believed that an interim manager has been found, with reports claiming that the club has agreed to hire Ralf Rangnick on a six-month contract.

Cantona, dressed in a flat cap and speaking to the camera, captioned the 12-second clip “Breaking news!” “Hello, my friends,” the four-time Premier League champion said at the start of the match. “I’d like to inform you, in confidence, that I am the new manager of Mаnchester United.”
