When asked why they chose to join forces with the Hallmark x Venmo collaboration, Peta Murgatroyd explained that giving cards has become a natural and organic part of their lives. Both Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy have become avid card givers, with Chmerkovskiy admitting that he used to see cards as just a vessel for cash. However, he now sees the value in receiving handwritten cards. The partnership with Hallmark and Venmo aligns perfectly with their lifestyle, offering convenience and simplicity through the use of QR codes for money transactions.

How Do the new Hallmark + Venmo Cards Work?

Using the new Hallmark + Venmo cards is incredibly easy and eliminates the need for a trip to the bank. To start, purchase a card and scan the QR code using your phone’s camera. This will redirect you to the Venmo app, where you can select the amount of money you want to include as a gift. The app provides clear instructions on finding the recipient, allowing you to search through your Venmo contacts or manually enter a phone number or email address. After choosing the amount and confirming your payment method, the recipient can scan the QR code to receive the money directly into their Venmo account. They have 180 days to scan the code before the money is returned to the original account.

Peta Murgatroyd emphasizes that the new Hallmark + Venmo cards offer a personal touch in addition to the monetary gift. The convenience and seamless integration of the two companies make this collaboration a perfect fit for the couple.
