Welcome to the F1 Miami GP
Welcome to SunSport’s live blog from the start of the Miami Grand Prix.
The street circuit will compete in its first Formula One race.
The track, which was built right next to the Miami Dolphins’ Hard Rock Stadium, could reach speeds of up to 192 mph.
The 19-corner track is extremely fast, with several high-speed sections leading to abrupt, long braking zones.
It has a number of straights, which have favored world champion Max Verstappen and Red Bull so far in 2022.
However, championship leader Charles Leclerc and Ferrari will be optimistic, particularly in the slower areas of the track.
Don’t go anywhere until 7.30 p.m., when practice begins!
