For the first time, Tesla is allowing other electric vehicles to use a portion of its charging network. Here’s everything you need to know.

By the end of 2024, TESLA plans to make at least 7,500 public Supercharger and Destination Charger stations available to electric vehicles with other brands.

At least 3,500 new and existing Superchargers along highways and 4,000 Destination Chargers at locations like hotels and restaurants are part of the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer’s rollout.

The quickest way to charge a Tesla, superchargers cost money and can give you up to 322 miles of range in 15 minutes.

Tesla Destination Chargers provide slower but free power to EVs.

Every owner of an electric vehicle (EV) has access to Superchargers and Destination Chargers via Tesla’s app or website, according to a White House statement.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, was commended by President Biden on Twitter for his choice to broaden the company’s previously exclusive supercharger network.

President Biden Tweeted“We must make sure that as many chargers as possible function for as many drivers as we can as we build our EV charging network.

To that end, Elon Musk will make a significant portion of the charging infrastructure available to all drivers.

That’s a big deal, and it will make a big difference, said Biden.

The US invested $900 million, according to President Biden’s announcement in September, to expand EV charging stations across the nation.
