I was kidnapped and raped at age 10 along with a friend; I pray the sick pervert is never released.
A WOMAN who, along with her friend, was kidnapped and raped when they were both 10 years old lives in constant fear that the heinous paedophile will soon be set free.
In 1999, as Charlene Lunnon and her best friend Lisa Hoodless were walking to school, they were abducted.
Alan Hopkinson, a predator, locked the two victims in the trunk of his car and tortured them for 75 hours.
At Hopkinson’s satanic hideout in Eastbourne, East Sussex, the women were bound to beds and raped after he drove them there.
For the many victims he victimized, he received nine life sentences.
Charlene, who is now 34 years old, has testified against the release of the “dangerous man” at a parole hearing.
A panel will hear his pleas for freedom in a few weeks.
It’s not safe to let him out on the streets, where he could prey on other children like he did with me,” Charlene told the Mirror.
I’ve been told that he still has newspaper clippings of children he’s cut out and kept in his cell.
To the parole board, Charlene would say, “Don’t release this man,” as her message.
A Parole Board spokesperson said: “Decisions are solely focused on what risk a prisoner could represent to the public if released and whether that risk is manageable in the community.
In order to determine the appropriate punishment, “a panel will carefully examine a vast array of evidence, including details of the original crime and any evidence of behavior change, as well as exploring the harm done and impact the crime had on the victims.”
Parole was initially denied to Hopkinson back in the 1970s.
In 2018, he was apprehended while in possession of DVDs featuring minors and newspapers featuring young women in ballet attire and athletic wear.
So that they could help others by writing a book, Charlene and Lisa gave up their right to remain anonymous.
