THERE ARE THREE EVENTS happening this week in Pokémon GO, making it yet another busy one.
There’s something for everyone, whether your goal is to defeat Giovanni or simply to capture the elemental monkeys.

This week’s Spotlight Hour features a popular starter Pokémon and the debut of a Pokémon with a shiny appearance.
From March 20-26, here’s what’s going on in Pokémon Go.
Litten takes the spotlight
On March 21, 2023, at 6 o’clock in your time zone, we’ll be hosting our weekly Spotlight Hour.
Litten will replace Rowlett as a more frequent starter during Spotlight Hour.
Due to its three-stage evolution process, Litten provides a golden opportunity to obtain the terrifying Incineroar.
During this time, you can evolve any Pokémon, not just Litten and Torracat, for double the usual Stardust reward.
An Everyday Hero and Team Rocket Takeover begins
These activities will begin at 10am on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, and run through 8pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, both in the respective locations’ standard time zones.
Pansear, Pansage, and Panpour will be made available worldwide for the occasion.
In addition, Shiny Meltan is being introduced, but it will still require a Pokémon transfer to Pokémon Home in order to obtain it.
It’s important to keep an eye out as the Pokémon that Ditto can transform into are constantly evolving.
To emphasize, Giovanni has returned, and he’s brought the dreaded Regice with him this time.
Save up your Rocket Radars so you can defeat him.
Incarnate Forme Thundurus storms raids
On March 22, 2023, at 6 p.m. local time, a raid hour will be held.
Ho-Oh’s two weeks as the top raid boss are coming to an end, and the spotlight will soon be shifting to Thundurus for the five-star battles.
Because Thundurus is currently in its Incarnate Forme, altering it will not work.
After Mega Medicham, Mega Venusaur will be the primary target of mega raids.
Mountain Cup takes on the Go Battle League
On Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 9 p.m. UK time, the Go Battle League format will shift.
After this week, the Psychic Cup will no longer be a part of the Ultra League.
The Mountain Cup, which has a maximum of 1,500 CP, will take its place.
Only Ice, Rock, Ground, and Steel types will be allowed to compete in the Mountain Cup.
One of the greatest starting pitchers of all time, Swampert, is not eligible for this cup.
Go Battle Day will feature Palmer
On Saturday, March 25, 2023, the entire day will be dedicated to the Community Day.
On this date, there will be timed research that can be completed for rewards related to the Go Battle League.
Palmer, who commanded the Battle Frontier in the fourth generation, is the inspiration for the prizes.
Players looking for a challenge should aim for the Battle Frontier, which is among the game’s toughest obstacles.
