Jewell Caples, dubbed the “First Lady of Death Row Records,” has died at the age of 54, according to Daz Dillinger.

According to her former Death Row Records collaborator Daz Dillinger, singer Jewell has died at the age of 54.

The R&B singer-songwriter is best known for his work with Dr. Dre and N.W.A., as well as his collaborations with the legendary Hip Hop label.

On Friday, rapper Daz Dillinger announced her death on Instagram.

“Farewell, @iamjewellcaples.” JEWELLZ PASSED THIS MORNING,” he wrote alongside a photo of the singer.

“WOW DEATHROW FOR LIFE. WE GONE MISS HER.

“CLASSIC MUSIC. FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING.”

Fans of the singer took to social media to express their grief.

“Woah man…RIP Jewell,” one fan tweeted. She appeared in a number of classic Death Row films. a stunning voice and an underappreciated component of West Coast hip hop “Peace to her family and friends.”

The singer’s cause of death has not been revealed.
