Jose Mourinho has given a chance to eight wonderkids after Felix Afena-Gyan’s performance for Roma.

Jose Mourinho may have unleashed yet another wonderkid onto the world stage after 18-year-old Felix Afena-Gyan scored both goals from the bench in Roma’s 2-0 victory over Genoa.

Despite only being on the field for a quarter of an hour, the Ghanaian forward scored twice in eight minutes, including a scorching second curling in from outside the area.

After the game, a jubilant Mourinho presented the teenager with a new pair of €800 trainers, though the gesture was marred by controversy due to the Roma manager’s off-camera remark.

Known for his preference for senior players, the Special One has been chastised for his unwillingness to give young players a chance.

‘Why isn’t he plаying?’ everyone wondered behind the scenes. “If Ruben were plаying for Mаuricio Pochettino, he’d hаve 70, 80, 90 first-teаm аppeаrаnces by now.”
