Kemba Walker Named as Potential Celtics Rival Target: Executive

Kemba Walker #8, Boston Celtics

Guard Kemba Walker, a former member of the Boston Celtics, is still unsigned after being released by the Detroit Pistons before the start of the current campaign. Walker last played for the New York Knicks in the 2017–18 season, but teams are keeping an eye on what they do and don’t need, so he might not be available for long.

Walker was mentioned as a potential target for the Golden State Warriors by a Western Conference executive during a conversation with Heavy Sports’ Sean Deveney about their options.

There are point guards, including Kemba Walker in a pinch, if they wanted to take a chance. There are men in the world. They just need to decide where they draw the line before shooting one of those guys.

The Warriors bench has regressed this season as a result of losing Nemanja Bjelica, Otto Porter Jr., and Gary Payton II in the offseason. Their bench has the worst net rating in the league as of November 22; when they enter the game, they average minus-7.9 points per 100 possessions.

Wаlker plаyed 25.6 minutes per gаme in 37 gаmes with the Knicks lаst yeаr, аverаging 11.6 points, 3.5 аssists, аnd three rebounds.
