On September 10, 2017, Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi played against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first half.

Larry Ogunjobi, a former defensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on June 22, 2022.

Before suffering a season-ending Lisfranc injury to his right foot during his team’s Wild Card victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in mid-January, Ogunjobi, 28, played for the Bengals in 2021, starting 16 games and compiling 49 tackles.

He produced seven sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 16 quarterback hits last season, so if it weren’t for the injury, he would have made a fortune in free agency. Ogunjobi did sign a three-year, $40 million contract with the Chicago Bears in the middle of March, but the deal was canceled due to a failed physical, sending him back to the free agent market where the Steelers signed him for an undisclosed sum.

On DK Sports’ Ramon Foster Steelers Show on Wednesday, the former Steelers offensive guard discussed the team’s most recent free agent signing. Ramon Foster is currently a sports talk radio host in Nashville.

Foster not only competed against Ogunjobi on numerous occasions, but he was also present during the now-famous Nov. Myles Garrett, a Browns edge rusher, struck Mason Rudolph, a Steelers quarterback, in the head in 2019 with his own helmet. You might remember that Ogunjobi was the Browns player who rushed the field after Garrett had already hit the Steelers quarterback, knocking him down from behind.

Fоster tоld Dejan Kоvacevic оf DK Spоrts, “I knоw he had that оne situatiоn with Masоn, but even after that pоint he apоlоgized fоr it and just kinda mоved fоrward with his career.”
