According to a royal expert, when Prince Harry returned to the UK this month, he used “bizarre language,” indicating that the Palace was still “absolutely furious” with him.
Russell Myers, the Mirror’s royal correspondent, claimed on Australian television that the relationship between the Royal Family and the Sussexes is “very very frosty.”
“Harry was giving an interview just a couple of weeks ago when he was at the Invictus Games,” Russell Myers said in reference to the Duke of Sussex’s recent interview.
“He was there to protect the Queen, and these things aren’t going down too well.”
“There needs to be a little more water under the bridge if they [their relationship] are to be repaired.”
On the Today Show, Australia’s Richard Wilkins agreed with Mirrorman Myers. He speculated that the royal couple was attempting to “eat their cake and have it too.”
“If Harry was looking for something piecemeal,” Myers continued, “he was a long way off.”
“The people I speak to every day, the Palace, who are obviously very well connected with the top players, to put it that way.”
“They are still absolutely furious”.
“You can’t complain about your treatment with the family in an international television interview with Oprah Winfrey and then want to sit down with them while you’re still giving interviews,” Myers added.
