Liverpool fans have admitted that the Premier League title race is over after Kevin de Bruyne’s stunning four-goal haul.

On Wednesday night, the Belgian superstar took matters into his own hands as league leaders Manchester City thrashed Wolves 5-1. De Bruyne carried City to victory on his own, scoring four goals to dismantle the opposition.

Pep Guardiola’s side came away with a crucial three points on the road, with the midfielder putting aside his usual playmaking duties to put in one of the season’s most impressive individual performances. With City now leading the Premier League by three points, Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to praise De Bruyne’s mesmerizing abilities.

“Kevin De Bruyne is an obscene footballer,” one Reds fan wrote. At the end of the day, he’s probably the difference in the championship race. So, I guess we’ll just sign him this summer and rule for the next ten years.”
