As they celebrated their victory together, Sanam wiped away her tears.
A stunned Sanam exclaimed, “I can’t believe it!” as the finalists rushed the stage.
After facing stiff competition from Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, both 25, and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, both 22, Kai and Sanam emerged victorious.
Unfortunately for Ron and Lana, they came in second place.
The winning couple were supported by bookies, with Paddy Power offering 1/3 odds that they would win, despite having been together for the shortest amount of time compared to their co-stars.
To Maya, Kai gushed, “She literally blew me away straight away.” This was his reaction to Sanam.
That name was always Kai to me. Sanam continued, dropping the L-bomb without meaning to. “I always said he was my number one,” she said.
After accidentally revealing that she “fell in love” with Kai in the villa, Sanam frantically covered her mouth.
Tom and Samie came in third place; Tom described their experience as the “best of my life,” while Samie described it as “unreal.”
As the runners-up, Tanya and Shaq were the first to be interviewed by Maya.
Tanya echoed Maya’s sentiment that they had “the rest of their lives” together, and Shaq said the couple had “lots of plans” for the future.
But it was the 24-year-old winners, who fell in love in Casa Amor and won over viewers with their drama-free romance.
They have had a relatively trouble-free time in the villa, despite the fact that Kai’s ex-girlfriend Olivia Hawkins, 27 years old, recently returned with her new boyfriend Maxwell Samuda.
Last night on the show, each other’s families came to meet each other, and they all gave their enthusiastic approval.
Expert on body language Darren Stanton says Kai’s mother and stepfather, as well as Sanam’s mother and best friend, have shown they approve of the couple.
“His mother and step-father seemed genuinely happy with his relationship with Sanam,” Darren said on Betfair’s behalf.
The family of Sanam seemed to accept them quickly. Even though they were more reticent, Sanam’s family still seemed willing to approve of her relationship with Kai.

Last day in the villa, professional dance instructors taught Kai and Sanam and the other three remaining couples a routine in preparation for that night’s Love Island ball.
Sanam boasted to Kai, “Look how professional I am!” after the two had tried it for themselves.
