Man United is reviving its pursuit of Inter Milan fullback Denzel Dumfries this summer, with Erik ten Hag leading the charge.

Reports indicate that Manchester United will resume their pursuit of Denzel Dumfries.

That’s what Football Insider says about United manager Erik ten Hag, who is reportedly still a “huge fan” of Dumfries’s current club, Inter Milan.

During the January transfer window, Manchester United attempted to sign the fullback but were unable to do so due to a lack of funds.

With Chelsea seemingly abandoning their long-term pursuit of the Netherlands international after signing Malo Gusto, Manchester City have received a major transfer boost.

Given Inter’s financial woes, the 26-year-old might be able to leave for a bargain price.

Dumfries may still command a hefty transfer fee of £40-50 million.

The Dutchman also earns about £54,000 weekly at the San Siro due to his long-term contract (through 2025).

There are a number of high-profile players at Inter who could leave in the summer, including the former PSV Eindhoven star.

Apparently, the impending free transfer of Milan Skriniar will lead to a massive purge.

It’s likely that United will need to bring in a new right back at the end of the current campaign.

Diogo Dalot’s current deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the upcoming season.

On the other hand, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is no longer a favorite of Ten Hag’s.

Since joining Inter in 2021, Dumfries has made 76 appearances (across all competitions) and contributed seven goals and thirteen assists.
