Man Utd’s asking price is “twice as much” as what Roman Abramovich received for Chelsea.

The minimum selling price for Manchester United is “twice as much” as what Roman Abramovich received for Chelsea.

After nearly two decades of American involvement at Old Trafford, the Red Devils’ owners, the Glazer family, have decided to put them up for sale. Following the news, the club’s supporters, who have been regularly protesting the owners since they bought the club, expressed their happiness on social media.

But, according to iNews, any takeover will require a huge offer because the Glazers are reportedly asking for at least £5 billion for the club.

After ripping up Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract, Man Utd decides not to give him a sizable payout.

The upfront share purchase that Todd Boehly’s consortium made to acquire Chelsea from Abramovich back in May was doubled with this sum. It is estimated that the club will be sold for a total of £4.25 billion.

According to the report, rival Liverpool, who were recently put up for sale by their American owners, will also be impacted by the club’s potential sale.

The reported аsking price for United is hаlf of whаt wаs reportedly stаted аs their minimum аsking price to consider а sаle bаck in October, when they were reportedly seeking а bid over £8.4 billion.
