In addition, Francis Ngannou’s UFC contract having expired, a hybrid matchup against him appeared to be in the works.

However, Diaz, who recently started his own promotion called Real Fight Inc., now wants to see Fury fight another MMA superstar.

The 37-year-old Californian tweeted“Ben Rothwell vs. Tyson Fury,” a fist emoji, and the Real Fight Twitter handle are all that are included.

The 6ft 4ins, 120kg heavyweight Rothwell, 41, has competed on 17 UFC events and has won 39 of his 53 professional MMA matches.

In November 2021, Marcos Rogerio de Lima defeated him via first-round TKO.

But Diaz wants to see his fellow countryman, Fury, take on Fury.

Fans on Twitter, however, were utterly unimpressed by the idea and expressed it through a variety of memes and gifs.

Most supporters prefer that Fury fight Usyk, and if that cannot be accomplished, Ngannou.
