Players of Resident Evil have been warned to be vigilant on social media in light of recent leaks involving the upcoming game.

Fans are sounding the alarm that the Resident Evil 4 remake’s footage has leaked online.
On March 24, 2023, fans will finally be able to get their hands on Resident Evil 4.

However, photos and videos have already surfaced online, exposing significant changes between the remake and the 2005 original.
Those who want to go into the next game unscathed can avoid spoilers by staying away from social media posts about it.
Game footage has been shared on Reddit, TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram.
There are ways to avoid spoilers on social media without completely cutting them out of your life.


Users of Reddit should unsubscribe from gaming-related Subreddits, especially those that enable leak posting and user following.
Users on other platforms can also mute or block Resident Evil-related tags in the same way.
Twitter user “Just as a heads-up, Resident Evil 4 Remake is 100% in the wild, [I’ve] seen some clips people notified me about in a few places,” they wrote to alert others.
I won’t tell you what they are, but if you’re trying to avoid spoilers, you should be extra cautious from here on out.
I expect Capcom to begin removing content shortly; in the meantime, I would advise exercising caution when posting videos or photos online.
It’s possible that you should be extra cautious with social media platforms that make suggestions for you automatically, like Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
