What is the theme of Red Nose Day 2023?

For Red Nose Day, the catchphrase is “Do something funny for money,” as it has been for the past several years running.

This is a reference to the traditional red noses and attire worn by celebrants on this day.

This also symbolizes the fact that the telethon typically includes humorous sketches and moments despite the serious nature of the appeal and those they are attempting to aid.

“A just world free from poverty” is Comic Relief’s official motto.

When is Red Nose Day 2023?

This year’s Red Nose Day will be held in Salford, England’s Media City on March 17th, 2023.

There will be a variety of sketches, celebrity guests, and musical stars performing during the live broadcast of the telethon, which will air on BBC One.

Shows like “The Climb,” in which Rylan Clark-Neal, Emma Willis, and Oti Mabuse scale Cairn Gorm in the Scottish Highlands to raise money for the event of 2023, typically air in the months leading up to the event.

In upcoming sketches for the main show, Sir Tony Robinson will once again play Baldrick from the classic comedy series Blackadder.

Likewise, parodies of serious shows like Love Island and The Traitors can be expected.

Sam Ryder, the runner-up at last year’s Eurovision, will join Graham Norton and the winner in 1969, Lulu, for a comedy sketch.

What is Red Nose Day?

On “Red Nose Day,” viewers donate money in exchange for humorous skits to benefit the Comic Relief cause.

The British charity Comic Relief was established in 1985 by comedian Sir Lenny Henry and comedy writer Richard Curtis in response to the famine in Ethiopia.

Those who purchase a red nose are encouraged to wear it in public as a symbol of support for the cause.
