Real Housewives of Orange County’s Shannon Beador Denies Drinking Accusations from Gina Kirschenheiter
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has denied her co-star Gina Kirschenheiter’s accusations about her drinking just days before being arrested for driving under the influence. In a joint interview with her pal Vicki Gunvalson, Beador defended herself against the “inaccurate” claims about her alcohol intake. She pointed out that there were other cast members on the show who had been drinking a lot during the season. Gunvalson added that the show promotes having fun and some alcohol, but it’s up to the individuals to control what they put into their bodies. She also argued that the moments of partying and drinking shown on the show are just a small part of the overall filming time.
Shannon Beador’s DUI Arrest
Less than a week after denying the drinking accusations, Shannon Beador was booked for a hit-and-run and driving under the influence in Newport Beach, California. According to TMZ, Beador drove onto a residential property and clipped a house with her vehicle. She was released without bond, but her car was seized as part of the investigation.
The Drama Between Shannon Beador and Gina Kirschenheiter
The conflict between Shannon Beador and Gina Kirschenheiter has been escalating throughout the season. It reached a boiling point when Beador claimed to another co-star, Jennifer Pedranti, that she saved Kirschenheiter’s kids from Child Protective Services following her DUI arrest in 2019. However, when confronted in front of a larger group, Beador denied ever making such a statement. Kirschenheiter was hurt by the situation and expressed her frustration in a confessional, calling for Beador to seek help if she can’t remember her hurtful words.
After the episode aired, Kirschenheiter revealed that she hadn’t received an apology from Beador, which surprised her. She expected at least a text to save face, but none came.
Gina Kirschenheiter’s Perspective
Gina Kirschenheiter, who didn’t drink at all during filming season 17, believes that Shannon Beador’s drinking is a problem for everyone else. She states that she’s not here to judge or diagnose anyone, but it’s clear that Beador’s drinking crosses a line. Kirschenheiter also mentioned that she doesn’t care if Beador claims to have a problem or not; the effect it has on others is what matters.
Shannon Beador’s Regrets
Reflecting on the CPS drama, Shannon Beador admitted that she does regret bringing it up. She feels that it may have been taken out of context or expanded upon more than intended. However, she stands by her stance that Kirschenheiter’s accusations about her drinking problem are unfounded. Beador suggests that Kirschenheiter needs to focus on herself rather than making Beador the center of her story line every season.
