Messi had reportedly promised to stay at Parc des Princes for another year in a previous verbal commitment.

The 35-year-old’s name has been mentioned in connection with a departure in recent media reports.

The MLS franchise Inter Miami has been linked to the former Barcelona star.

Additionally, it was reported this week that Messi had been offered £600 million to move to Saudi Arabia.

A sighting of his father, Jorge, in Riyadh stoked the flames of suspicion in some quarters.

But the 65-year-old has taken to Instagram to slam rumours – listing them on his story and dismissing each one as “fake news”.

Jorge has denied that PSG has refused to meet Messi’s contract demands, and he has also defended his decision to move to Saudi Arabia.

It was also stated that he did not believe his son had a disagreement with PSG coach Christophe Galtier on Tuesday, when he allegedly left a training session early.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio RomanoBefore committing to PSG, Messi would like some assurances about their long-term plan.

Since joining PSG in 2021 from Barcelona, the World Cup winner has played in 65 games.

He’s on track to win his second Ligue 1 championship in Paris, but he has yet to add a Champions League trophy to his trophy case.

In the 16th round, Bayern Munich eliminated Galtier’s team with a 3-0 aggregate victory.

Jorge dismissed the idea of moving back to Barcelona last month.

The airport in Barcelona was the scene of his comments to reporters: “I don’t think he will return [to Barca]. Nothing is in place to make it happen.
