‘The Resident,’ a Fox medical drama, has had four successful seasons and is set to premiere a fifth in September. Along with ‘911’, the series is the network’s only primetime program returning this fall. Much of this can be attributed to the show’s high ratings throughout the season. The series has an audience score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, which only scratches the surface of the show’s success.
Based on Marty Makary’s book ‘Unaccountable,’ the series follows the lives of staff members at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital while also shedding light on the hospital industry’s bureaucratic practices. While we wait for the fifth season of ‘The Resident,’ check out these Fox shows: ‘9-1-1,’ ‘The Big Leap,’ and ‘9-1-1 Lone Star.’ Everything you need to know about the next installment is right here.
