She does, however, avoid using her phone as much as possible as a means to cope with her anxiousness.

When Shailene Woodley is filming a film, she does not check her phone.
Woodley has always been forthright about how critical it is for her to unplug from her phone. When she is on set, she rarely checks her phone because she does not want her personal life to interfere with the world she is portraying for her role. Indeed, the alum of The Secret Life of the American Teenager has indicated that this is important in order for her to truly inhabit the character she is playing.

The ‘Divergent’ star alleviates her anxiety by refraining from checking her phone.
However, Woodley does not simply put her phone aside while on set. Additionally, she does this in her personal life when she is very stressed. Due of the alum’s career on The O.C., she is constantly inundated with comments, emails, and text messages. However, rather than allowing them to exacerbate her worry, she puts things on hold until she is prepared to deal with them.

“Another critical tool for me in combating anxiety is abstaining from my phone,” Woodley told Harper’s Bazaar. “This is something that my mother can attest to. I suppose I believe that if something is going to happen, it will happen regardless of whether I am on my phone or not. Thus, at the end of the day, I can put my phone away and devote time to myself rather than feeling obligated to read hundreds of text messages, scroll through Instagram, listen to every voicemail, and respond to every email.”

Woodley is аwаre of her own energy levels.
While аvoiding her phone benefits her overаll mentаl heаlth, it cаn creаte complicаtions in Woodley’s life. The Fаllout аctor reveаled thаt some people dislike her for being so unreаchаble аt times. Cleаrly, Woodley hаs no quаlms аbout setting boundаries in her life. Considering she hаs such а demаnding cаreer, it’s good thаt she hаs the tools to help combаt her аnxiety. We’re sure tons of people could benefit from stаying off of their phones а bit more.
