Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos: A Walk Through Their Impressive Property Portfolio
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are not only known for their successful careers in the entertainment industry, but also for their impressive property portfolio. From their humble beginnings in a modest New York apartment to their stunning multimillion-dollar homes in various locations, their journey is nothing short of envy-inducing.
The Humble Beginnings
Before the couple hit the big time, they called a far more modest apartment in the Big Apple home. Mark recently took a walk down memory lane and gave fans a tour of the pad they shared. Over the years, the owners had made significant improvements to the two-bedroom property, including adding walls, a new kitchen, and a brand new bathroom. Mark fondly recalled the bedroom that later became a nursery for their son, Michael, who was born while they were living there. He gushed about the view and showed off the expansive patio, complete with a satellite he had installed himself.
Their Lavish New York Home
While their first apartment was far from humble, it pales in comparison to the New York home they now live in. Their primary residence is a stunning $27 million townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The 7,796-square-foot property boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and underwent a complete renovation just before Kelly and Mark bought it in 2013. Its ideal location allows them to walk home from work on occasion, adding a touch of convenience to their luxurious lifestyle.
A Love Story That Started on Set
Kelly and Mark’s love story began on the set of the TV soap, All My Children. After meeting, they exchanged vows in 1996. Rather than an opulent wedding, the couple eloped to Las Vegas, opting for a more spontaneous and efficient way to tie the knot. Reflecting on their special day, Kelly shared that it was a fun and memorable experience, quipping about the thrill of gambling in the city of lights.
A Wedding on a Budget
Jetting from New York to Sin City for their nuptials was a decision influenced by their desire to escape the winter of ’96. Kelly revealed that their wedding expenses amounted to a mere $179, including airfare. They managed to keep the costs low by utilizing miles from a canceled trip. However, Kelly did splurge a little more on her wedding dress, buying it due to its beauty and affordability at $199 on clearance sale. She even wore the dress again to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary, showcasing its versatility as a beach cover-up.
Building a Lifetime Together
Kelly and Mark went on to build a beautiful life together, raising three children – Joaquin, Lola, and Michael. Their love and success have grown over the years, allowing them to create more incredible memories in their stunning properties. Their journey serves as an inspiration to many, demonstrating that hard work, dedication, and love can lead to extraordinary achievements.
