Ten Hag wants Kante to leave, Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2022/23 kit has leaked, and Manchester United stars fight in the training ground

Shaw waiting on bumper new £180k-a-week deal

EXCLUSIVE: Luke Shaw will have to wait for his new manager’s approval before signing a new £180,000-a-week Old Trafford contract, writes JOSHUA MBU.

Shaw, 26, has just one more season left on his current contract, and Manchester United has shown no interest in extending it.

Instead, United sources claim that the club will exercise its 12-month option to keep the left back until 2024.

That will give ten Hag enough time to consider whether the defender can be a long-term addition to his squad.

Since his £32 million move from Southampton in 2014, Shaw has had a hit-or-miss Old Trafford career.

Serious injuries and a battle to oust former manager Jose Mourinho have overshadowed some bright moments.

Ten Hag wants to assess him properly before making a long-term decision, even though he was back to his best last season.

United has a similar opinion of Brazil midfielder Fred, 29, but would be more open to offers this summer if the price was right.
