The best time to get food with discounted yellow stickers, according to a Marks & Spencer manager, is not in the evening.

But if you’re hoping to score a deal on food, a Marks & Spencer manager says there’s a very specific time you should visit your store, and it’s probably not when you think.

When is the best time to purchase those M&S yellow stickers, Danielle, who blogs under the handle @charityshoplife, asks in a video she posted on TikTok.

“I see people getting deals on here all the time, but when I go, it’s like £2 off – that’s the best deal I could find,” she continues.

“I arrive right before closing and nothing is left.”

Fortunately for Danielle, a M&S store manager read her post and offered a very valuable tip.

“M&S manager here. We sticker throughout the night so that when the store opens, if there are loads, it gets reduced again at 2pm, which is unlikely but usually happens.

The manager was then asked whether the items are reduced further, to which she responded: “That’s the final reduction, can’t guarantee it’s the same everywhere though but worth a try at that time.”
