After he viciously stabbed a prison guard in February 2021 at HMP Woodhill in Buckinghamshire, near Milton Keynes, he now faces an even longer sentence behind bars.
After a workout, while being led back to his cell, Tinling attacked Samuel Morris.
He pleaded guilty to attempted murder; his sentencing has been postponed.
At Woodhill, Tinling resides in a high-security section reserved for the most dangerous inmates.
We will not stand for any kind of attack on our dedicated staff,” the Prison Service said in a statement. “We will always advocate for the harshest penalties possible.”
