Trolls call Mason Mount a “bottle job” after the Chelsea star misses a crucial penalty in the FA Cup final loss to Liverpool.

After missing a penalty in the FA Cup final, brutal trolls online dubbed Mason Mount a “bottle job.”

Chelsea’s star player played the entire 120-minute match against Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.

The Brazilian denies Mount from 12 yards

The two sides couldn’t be separated, as they couldn’t score in two hours of play in the League Cup final in February.

The game went to penalties, and Mount didn’t take the field until the Blues’ seventh spot kick – after Ross Barkley had been forgotten.

Cesar Azpilicueta, the club captain, had already missed from 12 yards, hitting the post, but was saved by Edouard Mendy’s save from Sadio Mane.

Mount would not be so fortunate, as Kostas Tsimikas tucked away the ensuing penalty to give the Reds a 6-5 shoot-out victory.

Trolls took to social media to criticize Mount, Chelsea’s top scorer in the Premier League this season, for failing to score.

“Mason Mount is a bottle job, pass it on,” one wrote.

“Is Mason Mount the biggest bottle job in football?” another inquired.
