Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera, two Sri Lankan cricketers, arrived in the UAE on Wednesday (September 15) ahead of the upcoming second phase of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be represented by two up-and-coming Sri Lankan stars in the UAE leg. In a recent social media post, the Bangalore-based franchise confirmed the duo’s arrival. Before their first match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), RCB welcomed their newest recruits to the Gulf country. They will now be subjected to a two-day quarantine before rejoining the rest of the squad for practice. As part of the bubble-to-bubble transfer, players flying in from the Sri Lanka-South Africa series and the Caribbean Premier League have been granted a shorter quarentine period. During the first half, Hasaranga and Chameera were both absent from the cash-rich league. Their IPL careers, however, were given a new lease on life last month when RCB signed them as replacement players for the remainder of the season.
RCB players will wear a special blue jersey against KKR in their first match.
Virat Kohli and co. According to the IPL 2021 schedule, the Mumbai Indians will face the Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20 in Abu Dhabi. They hope that by doing so, they can pay tribute to the frontline workers who have been working tirelessly to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The color of the jersey has been chosen to match that of the PPE kits.
AB de Villiers, Navdeep Saini, Harshal Patel, and Devdutt Padikkal were seen talking about their new blue kit in a video posted to the team’s social media accounts.
