[Watch] SRH players practice match simulations; Abdul Samad shows off his big-hitting abilities.


Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have ramped up their training in preparation for the second half of the IPL 2021 season. Players took part in a match simulation practice session recently, which was overseen by Tom Moody, SRH’s director of cricket. He assigned Abdul Samad the task of scoring 18 runs in 10 balls for

. At Samad, Basil Thampi and Khaleel Ahmed were each asked to bowl five balls.

Abdul Samad showed off his big-hitting skills and won the challenge in the end. SRH posted a video of this on their official Instagram account to give fans a taste of what’s to come on Sunday.

The Hyderabad franchise posted the following on Instagram with the following caption:

“18 to win off 10 balls 🎯 Pressure on the bowlers and the batsman 😥What happens next? 🤔 Watch till the end to find out. #OrangeArmy #OrangeOrNothing”

Abdul Samad’s hitting form is a good sign for SRH, as they have struggled to find a finisher in their line-up in the past. In his limited IPL appearances so far, Samad has shown a lot of promise.

SRH management will be hoping that Samad can make the most of his opportunities in the UAE leg.

Kane Williamson recently completed his quarantine and joined the rest of the squad for trаining. He sаid а few words in а video posted by SRH on their sociаl mediа plаtforms аt the time.

Kаne Williаmson wаs optimistic thаt SRH’s fortunes would improve in the second phаse of the IPL.

“It has been nice to have that opportunity to try and put some time in. And I guess in terms of cricket preparation, you always just working as hard and as smart as you can. All the players will be looking to adjust to these conditions and as am I.

“It has been a tough first half of the competition, but we still have the energy in our side to get back together and we enjoy playing our cricket together. “
