What the Heck Is Going On With David Muir’s Face? Users on Social Media Intervene

Even if you’re not a regular viewer of the evening news, you’ve probably seen ABC News anchor David Muir discussing current events on television. David has a hand in covering a wide variety of important issues as the anchor and managing editor of ABC World News.

Longtime viewers have seen him grow over the years, while new viewers are just getting a feel for his hosting style.

A change in his facial structure has been noticed by some viewers, and he’s appeared on the show with mild bruising on his face on occasion. Is it possible that David’s face was damaged in an accident, or is there another explanation?

Some of David’s devoted viewers became concerned about him during the election coverage in November of 2020, when they noticed that his news-time makeup didn’t cover some apparent facial bruising. Some speculated that the anchor might have been involved in an accident at some point.

Despite his celebrity, David keeps his personal life private on social media. When he’s not at ABC, he spends a lot of time on social media talking about his professional work or making appearances.

Thankfully, there’s no evidence on David’s personal social media that he’s been in an accident that might have resulted in facial bruising. However, because there was no response, some people came up with their own theories to explain why he appeared to be in such bad shape.

Some viewers believe the news anchor had plastic surgery. Others believe David had his nose reshaped through a rhinoplasty procedure.

David isn’t one to talk about his personal life on the internet, so if he has had any professional work done, he hasn’t made it public. However, if he had rhinoplasty surgery, it would explain a lot of why people are concerned about his appearance, because bruising is a common side effect of such procedures.

What happened to David Muir’s face has left social media users puzzled.

Despite the fact that David has been with ABC since 2003, some viewers have noted that he appears to have aged very little. He’s been on TV for nearly two decades, though some say he looks younger now than when he first joined the network.

If David has had a nose job, it would account for the brief period of bruising on his face that viewers noticed in 2020, as well as the change in his appearance over time.

People are once again chiming in on social media about David’s appearance now that he’ll be covering the Committee Hearings on January 6. A number of users on Twitter expressed their dissatisfaction with David’s appearance.

“So far in night one, there have been a lot of disturbing images. “But…what happened to David Muir’s face?” one user wondered.

“What’s up with David Muir’s face?” Another commenter chimed in, “I can’t be the only one noticing this.”

“Did David Muir break his nose?” Or put on goggles/mask that are too tight? Another user added, “His face looks a little messed up.”

“Is David Muir’s face bruised or make-up smeared?” another commenter wondered. “That’s strange.”

We won’t know for sure whether David has gone under the knife for cosmetic procedures unless he decides to disclose any work he’s had done unless he decides to do so. At this time, it appears that David is in good health, and any differences in his facial structure that you notice could be the result of unconfirmed plastic surgery, camera angles, makeup, or a variety of other seemingly harmless factors. At the end of the day, his physical appearance is purely his prerogative; we’re simply grateful for his thorough coverage.
