While performing a picture-perfect low-pass above Snowdonia, an RAF navigator waves to onlookers.

On Wales’ highest mountain on Wednesday, Iain Knox captured the moment the Hawk trainer zoomed past.


The mountainous Welsh region is regularly used for low-level flying


Looking up and waving his hand in the cockpit, the friendly aviator was visible.

“It was taken in the Mach Loop in Snowdonia yesterday afternoon,” Iain said.

“It shows an RAF Hawk trainer passing low to the ground, with the navigator waving to the photographers on the hillside.”

To ‘free soldiers from mundane tasks,’ the RAF is testing self-driving cargo cars.
