Wilko’s new condensation-eradicating bargain has customers going crazy.
Eliminating condensation from your home may seem like an impossible task.
A helpful device from Wilko, however, eliminates the need for all that effort on the part of the shopper. The price is reasonable as well.
To avoid problems with condensation and mold growth, the thrift store has installed a Moisture Absorber, which functions like a dehumidifier to get rid of excess moisture in the air.
Some consumers believe the product is well worth the price because of its promise to eliminate musty odors.
One thrifty shopper, @just_simple_clean, shared the product on her TikTok, and it turns out that she isn’t the only one who is a believer in the product’s value.
Customers can pick up a UniBond Aero 360 Moisture Absorber for £6 at Wilko, and it’s also sold at Dunelm and Amazon, among others.
The product is convenient because it can be refilled and alerts the user when a new tab is needed.
The bottom half of the tab fills with water from atmospheric humidity, which can then be poured out.
“I’ve used these for years they’re great,” one TikTok user raved.
“I’ve got one and they’re brilliant,” said the second. “My mine last about a month in the water.”
Another user was blown away by their performance, saying, “I use these in my basement, it’s amazing how much water they collect!”
“I’ve got them all over the house and yes they work,” someone else chimed in.
In addition, one user cautioned potential buyers to avoid placing them too close to any window coverings, such as blinds or curtains.
I had a bad experience with the blue sludge and can attest to the fact that it leaves permanent stains.
